Niplle Discharge


Description

Niplle Discharge is an abnormal discharge from one or both nipples. Possible Niplle Discharge increases as gestational age.

Discharge Niplle rarely occurs in men and women who had never been pregnant. When that happens, probably caused by some underlying disease, particularly if accompanied by other changes in one or both breasts.

It is relatively common among women who first become pregnant. Sometimes found in blood or pus (containing pus) on the fluid that comes out, it's all in the cause.

Treatment

Treatment based on the cause. If the cause is benign and the discharge is persistent and annoying, a channel cover nipple resection, usually performed as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia, to remove mucus and reduce patient anxiety.
