Reliability Test On Notebook Intel Core i5

Notebook that uses an Intel Core i5 is already widely beredaran in the market. This class notebook is aimed at users of any portable hobby kompter treat a variety of digital content. Whether it's image manipulation, processing, instrument sounds, to do video editing. The presence of Intel Core i5.

For the desktop version, may be core i5 has shown its fangs with some of the features offered. Starting from the ability of the Turbo Boost, Hyper-Threading capabilities, up to low energy consumption, the mainstay of this product. But what about their performance on a notebook?

To test its capabilities, detikINET tried various heavy applications such as 3D Mark 2006 until the method of computation of large data in Microsoft Excel by using a notebook Acer Aspire 4740G.

Acer Aspire 4740 G, has been using an Intel Core i5 430M which has a speed of 2.27 GHz. Processors of this type has also adopted new technologies such as small fabrication process, 32nm.
Diboyongnya features that are not far adrift with the desktop version, from Hyper-Threading capabilities, Turbo Boost, Memory Controller is integrated, so that low energy consumption.
Judging from the features provided, it is no wonder that Intel processors claim they can meet the needs of portable computer users who prioritize, reliable performance with low energy consumption.
In the specifications listed, the Intel Core i5 430M would profiteer energy of about 35 watts. This species is slightly higher compared to brothers Core i5 520UM which only requires 18 watts.
However, in experiments performed detikINET i5 Core processor notebook with 430M can survive almost three hours when done for browsing with Wi-Fi, while listening to favorite songs through Windows Media Player and do light work with Microsoft Office.

After playing with the battery endurance, detikINET test the ability of these processors are like CineBench test application, the PC Mark Vantage, to use the 3D Mark 2006.
Figures produced was regarded satisfactory. Although not very high, but this processor is still good enough to handle a variety of needs such as gaming mild to severe grade calculation calculations.
But unfortunately, his ability singlecore not far adrift from the previous series. This can be proved when doing penggujian on CineBench where Core i5 430M in 2626 and get the numbers to get 2742 T9400 (smaller is better).
Maybe there is a noticeable difference is very trivial, but please note that not all applications can take advantage of capabilities that multicore processors later on.
Testing is then performed with the simulation calculation of large data using Microsoft Excel. The result, Core i5 able to complete a given task in just 14 seconds. Or four seconds faster than the Intel T9400.
So whether this processor is powerful enough can be said? Viewed from the ability shown, this processor can still show the 'fangs' to handle the heavy duties, or the game lightly.
Despite its ability singlecore not too good, but with various changes from the previous series makes this processor deserve to be considered.
Pros: + Saving Energy + No heat Overall good + Performance
Disadvantages: - Single Core Capability less
Benchmark Results:
CineBench R10 1-CPU Rendering: C2626 X-CPU Rendering: C6294
PC Mark Vantage: 4829
3D Mark 2006: 2077
Excel 2007 Number Crunch: 14 seconds
